New members usually join within the first few weeks of starting a show. We usually have a couple of weeks rehearsals for old and potential new members alike to meet each other, learn about the show, learn audition songs, get dialogue audition pieces and learn a dance. Auditioning for a part is not compulsory!

Membership is renewed annually and the membership fee is £30 which entitles you to audition for both the summer and winter show. Membership must be paid prior to auditioning. There is a reduced rate for students, pensioners and UB40s.

Nearer the time of the show, you will be asked for your show fee. This is a separate fee which helps pay for some of the costs of the show. The fee is variable depending on the show. Our current show fee is £80 (reduced rate of £40 available as mentioned above).

The Rehearsal Venue:

We rehearse at the Ackroydon Hall on Montfort Place (upper or lower hall, depending on the night), off Princes Way, Southfields, SW19. We also have occasional Sunday rehearsals at other venues.

Rehearsal nights are usually Monday (downstairs) & Thursday (upstairs).

From the tube

Walk up Augustus Road from Southfields tube station and turn right on to Princes Way. Montford Place is 200yds on your left. Walk past the shops and onto the concreted square. The hall is opposite you. There is a small door to the right for the lower hall (Mondays) and the main double doors (entryphone) for the upper hall (Thursdays).

By bus

The 39 and 493 both stop on Princes Way, near Montfort Place.

The Social Venue

Members socialise at the Pig & Whistle Public House on Merton Road Southfields. We are a friendly and lively group and our members and production team can often be found here after rehearsals!
